Recorded in intimate sessions at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, California, with no bassist or drummer present, this album is the result of meticulous personal commitment by the two giants of their genre. Bennett and Evans chose the tracks, worked out the arrangements semi-spontaneously, and selected the final takes to be used.
