Popis
After three studio albums and five years on tour, the band released their first live album. The original LP "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith" contains two songs from their debut album, the title track from 1979's "Bomber", five songs from 1979's "Overkill" and three songs from "Ace Of Spades". The track "Motörhead" was released as a single and became the band's biggest hit to date, reaching number 6 in the UK charts. With the exception of "Iron Horse/Born To Lose", which was taken from a show in 1980, "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith" was recorded at shows in Leeds and Newcastle during the Short Sharp Pain In The Neck Tour. Motörhead reached number 1 in the British charts for the first time with the album. The album is listed in the book "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die". The album "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith" contains the 2021 remastered versions of the original tapes and a complete live recording from Newcastle. The recordings were made during the "Short Sharp Pain In The Neck" tour, from which the album was originally recorded. Having already been released as a 2CD mediabook in 2021, it is now being released as a 2CD digisleeve.
