An Introduction To Syd Barrett, is a reissue of the collection released in 2010, combining Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett tracks on one compilation for the first time. We are re-releasing both the CD and 2LP of the highly acclaimed 2010 collection David Gilmour, who originally worked on Syd Barrett's two solo albums, as co-producer of "The Madcap Laughs" and producer of "Barrett," is the album's executive producer. Damon Iddins and Andy Jackson remixed five tracks at Astoria Studios, including "Octopus," "She Took A Long Cool Look," "Dominoes" and "Here I Go," with David Gilmour contributing bass guitar on the last track Pink Floyd's "Matilda Mother" also received a fresh 2010 mix. The artwork includes a 20-page booklet with (at the time) brand new artwork and all lyrics designed by longtime Pink Floyd collaborator Storm Thorgerson and his esteemed studio. The album features tracks from Pink Floyd albums "The Piper At the Gates of Dawn" and "A Saucerful of Secrets," as well as Syd's own solo albums and early Pink Floyd singles "Arnold Layne" and "See Emily Play."
