The Very Best of Chris Rea is the third compilation album by British singer-songwriter Chris Rea, released in 2001. The last track "Saudade" was originally written and recorded in 1994 as a tribute to Formula One racing driver Ayrton Senna, who died in an accident in Imola on May 1 of the same year. The word "Saudade" in Portuguese roughly means the feeling, emotion and euphoria of a particular moment. It reached number 69 in the British album charts, and was awarded gold by the BPI in 2004.
