When The Who's album My Generation was released on December 3, 1965 via Brunswick Records, a musical revolution was inevitable. A few years later, for example, the music database All Music wrote: "It was an explosive debut album and the hardest 'mod pop' record with the most powerful guitars and drums anyone had ever recorded".
To this day, critics consider My Generation to be one of the best rock albums of all time, with Mojo magazine naming it the second best guitar album of all time.
