It was a commercial and critical success, debuting at No. 1 on the UK album charts and earning a platinum certification from the BPI after just three weeks. In the United States, the album reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and was also certified platinum. “The Seeds of Love” is widely regarded as one of the most influential albums of the 1980s and features some of the band’s most famous recordings, including the hit singles “Sowing the Seeds of Love,” “Woman in Chains,” “Advice for the Young at Heart,” and “Badman’s Song.” This comprehensive 3-CD edition includes the original album as well as key B-sides, alternate mixes, and rare recordings from that era.
