Before Rory Gallagher became a legendary blues solo artist, he was the guitarist Guitarist and singer of the late 60s blues trio Taste. Following the example of Cream, they played blues rock with a touch of jazz, folk and pop thrown in for good measure. "On The Boards" from 1970 is their second and last studio album, and it reflects their skills as a live blues band, as they recorded the album as they played their best pub and club shows. Allmusic.com even calls this album the pinnacle of their career.
