With his debut album "Tales of America", J.S. Ondara from Nairobi/Kenya caused a sensation in 2019 not only in his adopted country USA, where he was nominated for the best Americana album at the Grammys. His distinctive falsetto voice and songwriting talent set him apart from comparable artists from the start. "A striking singing voice," wrote Billboard, and Stern simply said, "an event." In the meantime, J.S. Ondara became simply Ondara. The incredible voice, however, remained his trademark.
