"Victim Of Love" was a sharp left turn in the eventful career of Elton John. in 1979, after the commercial success of "A Single Man", Elton, who was no stranger to the dance floor, decided to take advantage of the disco boom and record "Victim Of Love". "Victim Of Love", recorded with Pete Bellotte and Thor Baldursson - Giorgio Moroder's right-hand man - is the only album by Elton John on which he did not co-write or play. Needless to say, it has become a very popular cult album.
