Dire Straits: Live 1978-1992 (12LP)

The LP box set focusing on the live recordings of Dire Straits on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of their show in Hammersmith in 1983, immortalized on the live album "Alchemy". This is a follow-up release to the 2013 vinyl box set "The Studio Albums 1978 - 1991", with a similar presentation. /// The box contains: - Remastered versions of "Alchemy" and "On The Night," neither of which are currently available on vinyl ("Alchemy" was last pressed in the mid-1980s, "On The Night" was last pressed in 1993 for the original release). - An expanded version of "Alchemy" with the existing digital / CD track listing that includes "Love Over Gold" and the expanded versions of "Telegraph Road," "Solid Rock" and "Going Home." Added to this is the full length performance of "Portobello Belle" (an edit of which was released on the "Money For Nothing" compilation in 1998) and the unreleased songs from the performance - "Industrial Disease" and "Twisting By The Pool" (3LP) - An extended version of "On The Night" with tracks played during the tour that were never released. They are taken from multi-track recordings of the shows in Nimes, Rotterdam and Paris: "Tunnel Of Love", "Telegraph Road", "Sultans Of Swing", "Two Young Lovers", "When it Comes To You", "I Think I Love You Too Much".
