James Blake: Playing Robots Into Heaven

Over the course of his career, James Blake has become an acclaimed songwriter and producer who now collaborates with and draws inspiration from the world's biggest pop stars - including Beyoncé, Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar, among others. He has already received numerous awards for his versatile collaborative work, including a Latin Grammy Award in 2019 as songwriter and producer for Rosalia's album "Motomami" and a Grammy for "Best Rap Performance" in the same year. (He has also been nominated for a Grammy another five times) and has won a Mercury Prize. In his new album "Playing Robots Into Heaven" he bridges the gap between electronically generated beats and soft vocals. On it, he creates soundscapes in loops and breaks out of them - returning to his roots of electronic music.
