Guitarist Grant Green came up with a pretty wild mix of repertoire on his funk-influenced album "Visions" in 1971, which landed him in both the Billboard jazz and rhythm'n'blues charts for the first time. With his melodic playing, he put his own stamp on songs by the Jackson 5, Chicago, the Carpenters, Mozart and Quincy Jones, among others.
