"Polari" is the first album that the former Years&Years lead singer is releasing as a solo artist. "Cupid's Bow", the album's first single, gives fans a taste of what to expect ahead of the album's release. The British singer and actor explains that, inspired by the way people seek connections and the meaning of being "lovestruck", he deals with the search for desire and intimacy in this song. "Polari" is exclusively produced by Danny L Harle (Nile Rodgers, Dua Lipa - 'Houdini"). The album title is inspired by the secret language of homosexual men in England between the 1930s and 1970s. It originated from various language influences (Romani, Italian, Cockney, English...) and also served as a sociolect among showmen, theater and circus people.
