Among the not very numerous recordings by Chicago-born singer Bill Henderson (1926-2016), this album, released in 1963 on the Verve label, stands out by far. Wonderfully supported by the swinging Oscar Peterson Trio, Henderson shows here why he was considered one of the best jazz singers of his generation before he went to Los Angeles and largely turned to acting.
