Popis
One of the world's best-selling albums, "Brothers In Arms" by Dire Straits, celebrates its 40th anniversary with a product package including a 5LP and 3CD deluxe edition.
It was the first album to sell more than a million copies on CD and became the band's most commercially successful album. Featuring the singles "So Far Away", "Money For Nothing", "Walk Of Life", "Brothers In Arms" and "Your Latest Trick", the album spent 14 consecutive weeks at number one in the UK album charts and is the eighth best-selling album in the history of the UK charts. It was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Non-Classical Album and the BRIT Award for Best British Album, among others.
The 5LP is housed in a beautiful slipcase inspired by Mark's National style "O" resonator guitar, which also features on the cover of the main album. The 5LP and 3CD deluxe versions include all tracks from the album and a previously unreleased full length live concert from the band's 1985 tour stop at San Antonio's Municipal Auditorium.
These deluxe versions include a 16-page booklet with new liner notes written by journalist Paul Sexton, following new interviews with band members Mark Knopfler, John Ilsley and Guy Fletcher.
