Paul Cornish: You're Exaggerating!

Another big signing for Blue Note Records in 2025 is Houston-born, Los Angeles-based pianist and composer Paul Cornish. He is currently also a member of Joshua Redman's live band, toured the world with the saxophonist last year and can be heard on his current album "Words Fall Short". "You're Exaggerating!" is the title of Cornish's debut album, on which he presents nine compositionally highly exciting originals. In a trio with bassist Joshua Crumbly and drummer Jonathan Pinson, he also proves to be a pianist of unusual class. The album is convincing both through the melodically outstanding compositions and the sometimes restrained, sometimes fast-paced performance of the musicians.
