Yes probably released their best albums in the seventies. It is certainly undisputed that "Fragile", "Tales From Topographic Oceans" and "Close To The Edge" are the best in the band's entire output. Originally released in 1972, "Close To The Edge" is a record that consists of three tracks, the first a good twenty, the other two around ten minutes long. With many borrowings from classical music, especially the sonata form, the band succeeds in creating music that, although complex, is impossible to get out of your head after a few listens. One of the great classics of the progressive (or prog rock for short) genre, that much is certain. Previously only available in earlier super-deluxe editions, this Blu-ray Audio is now being released as a standalone. It contains Atmos and 5.1 remixes (2025) by Steven Wilson, instrumental versions and 2025 stereo remasters by Bernie Grundman.
