Glen Hansard: Don't Settle (Vol. 2 - Transmissions West CD)

Following the success of "Don't Settle - Transmissions East", we are now embarking on the second part of this journey with "Don't Settle - Transmissions West". This album sheds light on an incredibly productive and multi-faceted career and is not just a "best of" - it is a live studio album, without second takes, without autotune, without post-production. Just live, raw, direct energy that captures the magic of Glen like nothing before. Recorded at the legendary Funkhaus in Berlin, a historic East German radio and recording studio with a huge, acoustically perfect orchestral live room, the album was recorded and filmed in a controlled studio environment over two nights with 600 fans in the room. The album was produced and mixed by Glen himself, with assistance from engineer and producer Mike Goldsmith and engineer and producer Markus Schmitz. This release is accompanied not only by an almost sold-out UK/EU tour that took him to Germany in May, but also by a feature film and a "making of" documenting this special time in Glen's career, looking both to the past and the future.
