Fleetwood Mac: Then Play On (Remastered + Bonus Tracks)

There was a life before super success! Long before FLEETWOOD MAC cracked the top positions of the charts worldwide with Rumours, Tusk and Tango In The Night, they had already been celebrating great success in the blues and rock scene for years. With the expanded and remastered edition of the album Then Play On, first released in 1969, and the 4-LP box (vinyl) FLEETWOOD MAC: 1969-1972, Reprise Records are now reviving the early days of the incomparable band! It starts with Then Play On, one of the best British blues and rock albums of the late sixties and for quite a few fans the highlight of their work. When their third album Then Play On was released in October 1969, FLEETWOOD MAC already enjoyed an excellent reputation worldwide. This first album, released on the Reprise label, features founding member Peter Green on guitar for the last time. With Green, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kirwan, the lineup went down in the long history of band constellations as FLEETWOOD MAC MK I (with 3 guitarists!). The remastered CD version of the album is now available for the first time in the form of the original track listing, a circumstance that makes the tracks One Sunny Day and Without You available here on CD for the first time. The new liner notes were written by the veteran of the US Rolling Stone, David Fricke. In addition, the album contains four bonus tracks, including the cult single Oh Well, Pt. 1 & 2, which was included on the second version of the album due to its great chart success. On top there are two more hammer songs: World Of Harmony and the single The Green Manalishi (With The Two Prong Crown ).
