Mac DeMarco: This Old Dog (LP)

New home, new sound, new album from Mac Demarco An old dog and an old man are just two of the characters that Mac Demarco sings about on his new album. The Canadian musician and singer also dedicates the first two singles "My Old Man" and the title track "This Old Dog" to them in 2017. Otherwise, Demarco's album is as thematically rich as ever, perfecting his jizz jazz once again as the father of the genre. This time, however, he opted for a more acoustic approach than on his two predecessors "2" (2012) and "Salad Days" (2014). And so, alongside drum machines and synthesizers, acoustic guitars await. The electric guitar is only used once. The multi-instrumentalist recorded a total of 13 songs for "This Old Dog" entirely on his own. In addition to the standard CD, "This Old Dog" is also available as a limited edition double CD. Record fans will get their money's worth with the LP or the limited edition colored vinyl.
