David Bowie: The Man Who Sold The World (LP)

This week marks the 50th anniversary of the original UK release of The Man Who Sold The World, David Bowie's seminal contribution to the 1970s. The album not only marked the beginning of Bowie's collaboration with guitarist Mick Ronson, which continued with Bowie classics such as Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane, but also kicked off a decade-long run of essential albums stretching back to 1980's Scary Monsters. Now Bowie's six studio albums from 1969 - 1973 are being released individually on 180g vinyl, which were already included in the comprehensive box set David Bowie Five Years 1969 - 1973, released in September 2015. The remastered version from 2015 was used for the albums Space Oddity, The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory and PinUps!, while the 2012 remaster was used for The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars and the remastered version from 2013 for Aladdin Sane.
