Hole: Live Through This (180 g) (LP)

"Live Through This" is Hole's second studio album. It was released on April 12, 1994, by DGC Records, just four days after frontwoman Courtney Love's husband, Kurt Cobain, was found dead in their home. It was the only Hole album to feature bassist Kristen Pfaff before her death in June 1994. Recorded in October 1993, the album marked a shift away from the band’s raw hardcore aesthetic toward more sophisticated melodies and song structures. It was produced by Sean Slade and Paul Q. Kolderie and mixed by Scott Litt and J Mascis. The album’s lyrics and cover art reflect Love’s preoccupation with beauty, and the songs feature recurring themes such as milk, motherhood, anti-elitism, and violence against women. Building on the bold foundation of *Pretty On The Inside*, Hole’s 1994 album *Live Through This* ushered in a new chapter for the band. Led by founding guitarist Eric Erlandson and newly remastered, this reissue revives the platinum-certified breakthrough that established Hole as one of the defining voices of alternative rock. “Live Through This” was produced by Paul Q. Kolderie and Sean Slade and features Courtney Love, Eric Erlandson, Kristen Pfaff, and Patty Schemel with landmark singles such as “Miss World,” “Doll Parts,” and “Violet.” This release on black 180-gram vinyl features the original album cover and carefully restored packaging, and also includes the complete original booklet for the first time. This faithfully restores a key element of the album’s original presentation and pays tribute to a groundbreaking release whose influence continues to resonate more than three decades later.
