Various compilations of Miles Davis' bands emerge on "Live Evil" by Miles Davis. One of the recordings is from a 1970 performance at the "Cellar Door" that featured a band consisting of Miles Davis, bassist Michael Henderson, drummer Jack DeJohnette, guitarist John McLaughlin, saxophonist Gary Bartz and Keith Jarrett The band comes across as groovy, fast and extremely funky. The other set-up is Ron Carter, Dave Holland, Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock. This album is complex, yet groovy. Tracks like "Sivad", "Funky Tonk" and "What I Say" reveal pure enthusiasm and wonderful live material.
