Silverstein: A Shipwreck In The Sand (LP)

The post-hardcore band from Burlington (Canada) released their fourth studio album "A Shipwreck In The Sand". It reached number 33 in the Billboard charts and was largely well received by critics and fans alike. "A Shipwreck in the Sand" is Silverstein's fourth studio album, which was released in March 2009 via Victory Records (the band's last studio album on this label). It is also the first album to feature future guitarist Paul Marc Rousseau (not as an official member). The album is characterized by a heavier sound than their previous releases and contains a conceptual story that tells of a ship that sets sail to find resources and found a new world, but when no new land is found, the crew rebels against their captain. The album is divided into four chapters: "It Burns Within Us All" (tracks 1-3), "Liars, Cheaters and Thieves" (tracks 4-7), "Fight Fire with Fire" (tracks 8-10) and "Death and Taxes" (tracks 11-14).
