Prelusion is the debut album by legendary artist Patrice Rushen, originally released on Prestige Records in 1974. The album moves effortlessly between post-bop and jazz fusion and features contributions from legendary saxophonist Joe Henderson. For the first time in 50 years, the album has been reissued on vinyl as part of Jazz Dispensary's Top Shelf series. It was cut from the original analog tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI.
