Martina Topley-Bird: Quixotic (Expanded Edition) (2LP)

British singer-songwriter and musician Martina Topley-Bird became known in the music industry through her collaboration with trip-hop pioneers Tricky and Massive Attack. Her soulful vocals on the track "Teardrop" by Massive Attack from their album "Mezzanine" are particularly noteworthy and contribute to its atmospheric effect. Her haunting voice also shaped Tricky's unmistakable sound on his debut album "Maxinquaye" (1995). Transitioning to a solo career in 2003, she earned critical acclaim with her Mercury Award-nominated debut album "Quixotic", released via Independiente Records. in 2004, Topley-Bird extended her collaboration and lent her voice to the Gorillaz tracks "All Alone" and "Kids with Guns" from their debut album "Demon Days" Since then, she has released further albums, including "Anything" (2004), "The Blue God" (2008) and "Some Place Simple" (2010).
