Warren Haynes: Million Voices Whisper (2LP)

"Million Voices Whisper" is the third fantasy solo album (after "Man in Motion" and "Ashes & Dust") by the extraordinary musician and songwriter Warren Haynes. With the support of an all-star core, New Orleans native Terence Higgins on drums, organist and keyboardist John Medeski, Mule bassist Kevin Scott and the brilliant guitarist Derek Trucks, Haynes has been inspired to create his best work: eleven original songs that set the bar high in a genre that could well be described as modern classic rock. 'These Changes' (co-written with Trucks and TTB member Mike Mattison) and 'Real, Real Love' (co-written with Gregg Allman, his last work with Haynes before his untimely death in 2017) are absolute highlights. Jamey Johnson and Lukas Nelson accompany him on 'Day of Reckoning', a song he co-wrote with Lukas. All catchy, emotional bangers brought to life by Warren's husky, soul-soaked voice. The album was produced by Warren Haynes. He enlisted his Allman Brothers bandmate Derek Trucks as co-producer and guitarist for four of the songs on the album.
