Neil Young + Crazy Horse: Barn (LP)

"Barn" is the name of the record, which he recorded together with Crazy Horse in June 2021. Just two years ago, Young and his band released their reunion album "Colorado" after a seven-year break. The name "Barn" was not chosen by chance: The album sessions took place in a barn in the Rocky Mountains, which his wife Daryl Hannah had previously had restored. There is a picture on the cover. Neil Young, Billy Talbot, Ralph Molina and Nils Lofgren recorded ten songs there with the help of "Le Mobile Recording Studio". Young and Niko Bolas alias "The Volume Dealers" were responsible for production. "'Barn' is something very special," Young wrote to his fans on The Neil Young Archives. "It rocks. It rolls [...] It has songs that are part of that time." With "Song Of The Seasons", Neil Young and Crazy Horse presented the album's first single in October: a gentle folk ballad and, according to the singer, the oldest song on "Barn". "Barn" comes on CD and LP and, like previous Neil Young releases, as a limited edition box set with CD, LP and Blu-ray. The Blu-ray contains a film of the band performing the songs live, directed by Daryl Hannah. There is also a Limited Indie Edition with the album on LP and six behind-the-scenes photos.
