The Pretty Reckless: Other Worlds (Limited Edition)

The Pretty Reckless are releasing a new project called "Other Worlds" in 2022. The collection will include acoustic recordings, cover versions and more from Taylor Momsen and co. Some of the cover versions in particular are likely to come as a surprise to fans of the hard rockers from New York. For example, "Other Worlds" contains new interpretations of Elvis Costello's "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding", Soundgarden's "Halfway There", Chris Cornell's "The Keeper" and David Bowie's "Quicksand". "We've been trying to find an alternative way to release music for a long time, including songs we love that didn't make it onto our records, as well as covers and alternative versions," explains frontwoman Taylor Momsen. "With 'Other Worlds' we've found a way to do this coherently and consistently. We're a rock band, so there are a lot of electric guitars on our records. However, we've gotten incredible feedback from our fans about our acoustic performances, and we've never released those in a proper format. So this is a different take on the traditional format of a record and a stripped down version of us that our fans have never heard before, but it's still us." "Other Worlds" also features some special guests, including David Bowie's pianist Mike Garson, Pearl Jam's Matt Cameron and multi-instrumentalist Alain Johannes.
