Sade: Promise (Half-Speed Remaster) (180g) (LP)

Sony Music Entertainment presents the reissue of Sade's six studio albums in June and September 2024. High-resolution digital transfers of the original studio master recordings, which were remastered at half speed at Abbey Road Studios, were used for the tracks on the longplayers, which will be released on 180g vinyl. This elaborate process results in a version that reproduces the sound in a particularly clean and detailed way without distorting the sound the band was aiming for. No additional digital limiting was used in order not to impair the dynamic range of the original mixes. The albums are all released on 180g heavyweight vinyl and the original covers have been reproduced down to the smallest detail - right down to the type of paper and printing technique used in their production at the time. "Promise" (1985) is the second Sade album and contains the singles "The Sweetest Taboo", "Is It A Crime?" and "Never As Good As The First Time". It was recorded at the Power Plant Studios in London and at Studio Miraval (France).
