Popis
Many Judas Priest fans were no longer expecting the band to produce a heavy metal masterpiece as strong as "Firepower" in 2018. Second place in the German charts was the well-deserved reward for this fan and critic favorite. in 2024, the legendary band from Birmingham released the follow-up to their 2024 album "Invincible Shield". Some of the songs on Judas Priest's upcoming 19th full-length album date back to the songwriting phase of the last album. Nevertheless, according to guitarist Richie Faulkner, "Invincible Shield" will not be a "Firepower 2". Instead, many of the new tracks have a much more progressive structure than on its predecessor. The first single "Panic Attack" is an immediate classic Judas Priest hit. Powerful drumming meets driving, melodic guitars and, of course, the inimitable voice of "Metal God" Rob Halford. Andy Sneap is once again responsible for the lush production of "Invincible Shield". The Brit has been part of Judas Priest as a live guitarist for several years and has already given "Firepower" the perfect sound. Over the past 50 years, Judas Priest have sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and performed on stage in the world's biggest stadiums. in 2022, they were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and finally completed their sold-out world tour to mark their 50th anniversary, which had to be postponed several times due to coronavirus. The next concerts around the globe are already booked for 2024, of course with all the hits from "Invincible Shield" in their luggage.
