Murcof: Twin Color (Vol. 1) (LP)

Twin Color Vol 1 is the new album by Mexican ambient mastermind Murcof. The single Fight is accompanied by an official video directed by Simon Geilfus and Robert Hodgin, using video footage from their A/V performance of the same name, which premiered at Mutek Montreal at the end of August 2024. Nearly two decades after Cosmos in 2007, Murcof continues to be celebrated for his classical, minimalist textures and unique soundscapes. He has established himself as a master of modern ambient music alongside Tim Hecker, Alva Noto and Johann Johannsson. With this new album, Murcof takes a bold step forward with a distinctly cinematic and dystopian narrative influenced by the great science fiction films of the 1980s. This new direction immerses the listener in atmospheres that are sometimes dark, sometimes full of nostalgic brightness and inspired by post-punk and synth-wave.
