Popis
Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921) would probably be extremely surprised that his Carnival of the Animals is one of the most popular works in all of classical music today, a staple repertoire piece not only at children's and youth concerts. The well-known Belgian comedian and actor Alex Vizorek has rewritten the text of this 'great zoological fantasy', which he narrates here together with the Duo Jatekok and the Orchestre National de Lille conducted by Lucie Leguay. Saint-Saëns' no less popular Danse Macabre and Poulenc's cheeky Concerto for Two Pianos complete the program.
