It is thanks to the Benedictine sister Veronika Grüters that Hans Krása's children's opera "Brundibár" was rescued from oblivion. For the performance of the Freiburg St. Ursula-Gymnasium, which is involved here, she reconstructed a playable version on the basis of the piano reduction, the basis for the meritorious first recording on CHRISTOPHORUS published in 1986, which is now available again.
