Immolation: Acts Of God

Just as you can smell a storm brewing on the horizon, IMMOLATION's cataclysmic tremors are approaching to unleash their latest massive creation: ACTS OF GOD. This 11th studio album is the next chapter in IMMOLATIONS death metal epic. 5 long years have passed since the last studio album ATONEMENT, ACTS OF GOD energetically demonstrates IMMOLATION's ability to consistently create mesmerizing sounds while still being firmly rooted in the old school, New York death metal they are known for. Fittingly, the closing track "Apostle" was the last song written for the album. "Some of those choruses have a strange, almost dreamlike quality," Dolan describes. Its ever-growing momentum unloads rounds of guitar solos and relentless vocals that eventually lead to an explosive finale to the album. The interesting thing about Immolation, for an old school death metal band, is that they converted their fans and/or gained new young fans with their last album.
