Palme - her fourth album in eight years - is Arnalds' most warm, direct and otherworldly record yet, a fragile creation that's nevertheless invested with bags of charisma and energy. It's also her most collaborative venture, with two principal trusted collaborators and friends on board: Gunnar Orn Tynes (of electro-folk collective mum) and long-term musical foil Skuli Sverrisson (who counts Laurie Anderson and Ryuichi Sakamoto among his productions). The three-way collaboration has, for the first time in Arnalds' career, made use of electronics.
