Smiths: The Queen Is Dead

The indie rock milestone reissued An absolute treat for all indie rock fans: The Smiths are presenting several remastered and expanded reissues of their classic album "The Queen Is Dead" in 2017. The double CD contains the 2017 master of the album as well as a bonus CD with various demos and B-sides. There is also a deluxe edition with three CDs and a DVD. The additional CD contains the previously unreleased concert recording "Live In Boston", recorded at the "Great Woods Center For The Performing Arts" on August 5, 1986. The DVD contains a new hi-resolution stereo mix and the "The Queen Is Dead" film by Derek Jarman. "The Queen Is Dead" is the third studio album by the band led by singer Morrissey and guitarist Johnny Marr. It was originally released on June 16, 1986 and reached number two in the album charts in their home country of Great Britain. The best-known songs include "The Boy With The Thorn In His Side", "Bigmouth Strikes Again" and "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out". A classic in a new guise: over 30 years after its initial release, The Smiths milestone "The Queen Is Dead" is now available as a remastered and expanded reissue.
