An exciting double live review of The Cure Last year, The Cure celebrated their 40th anniversary as a band. To mark the occasion, the British pop/rock/wave/gothic pioneers are presenting a live retrospective in 2019: "40 Live - Curaetion 25 + Anniversary" comes as a set with either two DVDs or two Blu-rays as well as a double DVD or double Blu-ray with four CDs each. In June, The Cure played a very special set at their "Meltdown" festival in London's Royal Festival Hall under the title "Cureation-25". 13 songs from all 13 of the band's studio albums in chronological order and then another 13, just backwards in time. Further highlights included the two unreleased songs "It Can Never Be The Same" and "Step Into The Light". In July 2018, The Cure finally hosted an anniversary concert in London's Hyde Park, where they performed a total of 29 songs to tens of thousands of fans. The concert film "Anniversary 1978 - 2018: Live in Hyde Park London" was directed by Tim Pope. With "40 Live - Curaetion 25 + Anniversary", the "Anniversary" recordings and the "Meltdown" festival sets are now available together in sound and vision. Two historic shows by The Cure to mark the band's 40th birthday: "40 Live - Curaetion 25 + Anniversary" In 2018, The Cure performed two historic shows celebrating a 40-year career. On October 18, 2019, Eagle Rock Entertainment presents two special performances to commemorate this milestone. 40 LIVE - CURÆTION-25 + ANNIVERSARY will be released in a 10" Deluxe Box (2Blu-ray+4CD or 2DVD+4CD, each with 40-page book), in Hardback 2Blu-ray or 2DVD Book (with 16-page booklet).
