Popis
The album was produced by Kenneth Blume (fka Kenny Beats) - recorded last year in a whirlwind two-week studio session following an initial meeting between the trio. It was mixed by multiple Grammy winner, Tom Norris (Lady Gaga, Charli XCX, The Weeknd and many more), with Dylan Brady of 100 Gecs also contributing to the production on four of the album's tracks. Named "Future Artist of the Month" by BBC Radio 1, "New Music Fix Daily Next Up" by BBC 6Music and featured on Spotify's "Artist to Watch" program, Fcukers are in top form on "Ö", embodying the unbridled energy that has earned them status as New York's party starters. The album features recent breakthrough singles, "Play Me" and "I Like It Like That" - the latter of which has already proven to be a firm live favorite at their exuberant headlining shows - and takes listeners through all the highs and lows of a metaphorical night in the world of Fcukers. Sharp, powerful and full of the party energy that the duo have already perfected in their short existence, 'Ö' shows that the band have their sound firmly under control, are at the peak of their career and are ready to set the pace for 2026. The release of their debut album, "Ö", marks just the latest culmination of a wild journey for the duo, consisting of Shanny Wise (vocals) and Jackson Walker Lewis (bass, keyboards, production). Upon the release of their EP, "Baggy$$", in 2024, they were already one of the most talked about newcomers - with singles such as "Bon Bon" and "Homie Don't Shake" competing for numerous "Song of the Summer" awards. The band has been praised in GSA by media such as ByteFM, Arte, Diffus, Faze and the aforementioned Musikexpress, as well as internationally by Zane Lowe, the international Rolling Stone, Dazed, W Mag, New York Times, Pitchfork, NME, The Face, NYLON, Notion, Flaunt, Office Magazine and many others.
