On the album "Reason" Selah Sue tells heartbreaking stories with a lot of pain and emotion. Selah Sue may not have been able to overcome all her shadows yet - but she has turned them into something positive - to write the new songs for "Reason". They are infused with energy, light and emotion. Between flowing electro-soul, dreamy trip-hop and multi-layered house beats, Selah Sue now finds her true, musical self on "Reason". In her native Belgium, in London, in Jamaica and in Los Angeles, she visited numerous recording studios in her search for the perfect balance. With the Dane Robin Hannibal (Little Dragon, Kendrick Lamar) and the Swede Ludwig Göransson (HAIM, Childish Gambino) she always had two experienced producers at her side. From the not-quite-tangible feeling that the tracks all sprang from a late-night jam session and from the architectural care of the compositions, the album forms an extraordinary whole. Staying true to her unquenchable thirst for music, Selah Sue manages to awaken her sense of light and darkness in all of us with dazzling textures.
