"Let Love In" is considered by many critics to be the quintessential work of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. After this longplayer some change processes began - from the exit of some The Bad Seeds members to the overwhelming success of the follow-up album "Murder Ballads". For sure, "Loverman" and "Red Right Hand" are among the best Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds songs ever. Their hypnotic build-up, the dark lyrics, the musical textures (Blixa Bargeld's guitar playing is a key element here), the clever arrangements - it all comes together perfectly. Nick's vinyl editions have long been out of print and traded as rarities. October saw the release of the film "20,000 Days on Earth", in a sense (tongue in cheek, that is) a documentary about the life and work of Nick Cave.
