Popis
Dieterich Buxtehude was one of the great composers of his time. Composers and musicians came from all over to "listen" to him - as the young Johann Sebastian Bach remarked
His knowledge of the organ, his virtuoso skills on this instrument and his knowledge of composition were legendary. And so the time of Johann Sebastian Bach's visit to Lübeck could not have been long enough to listen to Buxtehude and pick up a few tricks from him.
With the 6 Trio Sonatas op. 1 on Hybrid SACD, remarkable chamber music is now presented in December. Recorded by the renowned ensemble l'Estravagante, these virtuoso sonatas, together with the trio sonatas op. 2, are the only compositions by Dieterich Buxtehude to have appeared in print.
This CD impressively proves that even 300 years after the death of this musical personality from Lübeck, his music has lost none of its fascination.
