Rolling Stones: Tattoo You (40th Anniversary Remaster)

It's been 40 years since The Rolling Stones released the album "Tattoo You." The band and Universal are celebrating this anniversary in 2021 with a few special birthday editions. "Tattoo You" was originally released by Rolling Stones Records on August 24, 1981. It is the 16th British and 18th American studio album of the English rock legends. The nine songs on the record are mostly studio outtakes recorded in the 1970s. Keith Richards commented, "The thing about 'Tattoo You' was not that we stopped writing new stuff, it was a matter of time. We agreed that we wanted to tour, and we wanted to tour after a record. We didn't have time to record a whole new album and start touring." "Tattoo You" also features "Start Me Up," one of the most famous Stones songs ever. It reached number two on the U.S. Billboard singles chart. The album reached number one on the charts in the U.S., number two in the UK and number three in Germany.
