"Twio" was the name of the fifth studio album by US tenor saxophonist Walter Smith III, which was released in February 2018. The title was a playful neologism made up of "Trio" and "Two". For his third Blue Note album, he is now taking up the concept again and presenting an extremely successful album with classic jazz pieces full of swinging joy of playing. The album features a new line-up with musicians such as bassist Joe Sanders and drummer Kendrick Scott as well as guest appearances by jazz legends Ron Carter on bass and Branford Marsalis on tenor saxophone.
