Sting: Symphonicities

Sting achieves a real feat with the "Symphonicities" program recorded at London's Abbey Road Studios. For both his new and lyrical compositions and a new wave classic like "Next To You" - once the first track on the Police debut album - fit naturally into the soundsphere of the recording. Everything fits together here, personality and idea, sound and ambience, concept and implementation, so that "Symphonicities" loses nothing of its authenticity despite the great artistic effort. This is far more than crossover and is due not least to the well-rehearsed team at STING's side. For both the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra under the direction of Steven Mercurio and the singer Jo Lawry as a guest have contributed with their competence to the fact that the star of adult pop has succeeded in taking another step towards stylistic individuality.
