Popis
The full-blown rock opera about the deaf, dumb and blind Tommy Walker brought The Who international superstar status in 1969. The road to release was bumpy: from Monday to Thursday the band worked in the studio, on weekends they gave concerts to save the desolate financial situation and test new material in front of an audience. So they got increasingly under time pressure, missed the Christmas business 1968 and landed in the end despite all circumstances a huge success. The double album was followed by a film version and a musical.
