On their debut album "Pagan Rites", IXTAHUELE created their own exotica universe and combined tradition and modernity to create an atmospheric soundtrack for every tiki bar. Inspired by their home country, the melting pot gothenburg and pioneers of the genre such as MARTIN DENNY and ARTHUR LYMAN, IXTAHUELE combine different influences from jazz, pop and Latin to surf and world music to create their own style and sound. On the ten tracks, the quintet combines driving rhythms with a classic exotica sound and takes the listener on a journey through time from the Orient to the Pacific. The numerous invitations to major festivals worldwide prove that the Swedes are doing a very good job here. These include, for example, the renowned "The Hukilau" festival in the USA.
