The 14-year-old Norwegian boy soprano Aksel Rykkvin is one of those extremely rare cases in which a beautiful, full voice is combined with downright astonishing musicality at his age. Following his sensational debut recording on SIGNUM CLASSICS, Rykkvin presents arias by Handel, Albinoni and Rameau on his second CD, in which the young Norwegian astounds not only with his virtuosity but also with his extraordinary interpretative maturity. The Norwegian MIN Ensemble under the direction of Mark Bennett is convincing as an alert accompanist and is also able to distinguish itself in instrumental movements.
