The life of Christ has three major phases: the birth - the ministry - the Passion. Franz Liszt made these stages the subject of a sacred opera - certainly his most important sacred work. MDG presents this extensive and multi-layered opus in a new, ambitious recording on three SACDs with the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn under the direction of Roman Kofman, the Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno and four renowned soloists.
