Under the label Alia Vox Diversa, Jordi Savall invites a hand-picked group of artists to publish with him. Founded in 2006, the vocal and instrumental ensemble Tasto Solo has received unanimous praise and numerous awards from Diapason, Pizzicato, Scherzo, France Musique, etc. for its previous albums. Now the musicians take the listener to 16th century Europe. Italy was the epicenter of a new style originating in the world of dance. The recording revolves mainly around the composer Vincenzo Ruffo and his contemporaries. The instruments are typical of the period: small harpsichord without mute in the upper register, simple harp, viola da gamba and lute.
